Spool Holder

I got tired of the spool jerking from the square spool holder on my Rostock so I printed this. It allows the spool to spin freely without jerking and makes sure that the spool stays on the spool holder.

The inside of the spool holder catches the edge of the spool support on the max. The outside catches the spool and keeps it from straying off the spindle. The holder is round so the spool spins freely when the motor pulls it into the Bowden tube.

A very good tip and I will print a couple of these.
Thanks for sharing the file.

I did the same thing with a plastic tube I had laying around. It did help reduce the jerking motion. I have plans to make a turn table design and remount the spool on the side.
