e3d v6 - .8mm nozzle - taulman bridge - jam after jam!

I'm really pulling my hair out on this one!

I keep trying to print taulman bridge on an e3d v6 (rostock max v2) with a .8mm nozzle - but each time it totally jams up and stops extruding anything. I have taken apart the hot end 4 times now, each time having to take my butane torch and blast out the hardened nylon that has built up around the heat break. Retraction is only 2.5mm, does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Whoever solves this is a saint!!!

The e3d V6 has the ptfe tube running down the inside of the hotend and attaches to the heat break. Is yours assembled that way? A lot of people miss this on the instructions.
Also the V6 requires the thermistor table to be set to 8.

Have you inserted a thermocouple into the V6 to verify that the temperatures at the hotend are close to what is being displayed by the firmware?

Start with 0 retract and increase from there. 2.5mm is quite a bit.

My E3D V6 does not like long retracts. I print bridge with a .6 nozzel with about a 1.5 retract and it does great.

I will try lower retraction.
I'll also try a thermocoupler.
Great ideas! Waiting on some replacement parts. I ripped the heat break in half after nylon hardened in the threads, haha.

I'm wondering if it simply can't heat enough nylon fast enough? .8mm nozzle, 30mm/s printing, .4mm layer height and it seems my bridge is out of spec at an average of 1.85mm diameter.
