I have been reading through the forum and it looks like I will be able to get all the help I need here.

Well I just picked this up from UPS today. Now I have to wait with it sitting in my car till I get off work and get home to start working on it. Its going to be a long day.

Worked on building for 5-6 hours last night. I got the bottom build and some of the top. Need to run to the store today and get a soldering iron to put the bed together, I cant seem to fine my old one.

Any excuse to buy a new tool is a good one.

I'd recommend a Hakko FX-888 if you want a really good, sub $100 iron.

I just retired my 10 year old Micron for a WEP 898D rework station off eBay. Under a hundred bucks to my door for a soldering iron/pencil, hot air gun, temp controlled both of them with a tonne of new tips. Great for soldering, great for rework but also good for flameless flame polishing of parts and welding plastic too

I was skeptical, but I rolled the dice and for once it looks like I got a jolly cracking deal off the old bay of fleas.

I ended up getting a butane one from the hardware store. I know, its a cheap one but I have other things that it would be great for. Everything seems to be going good so far. I have the top section on and will be doing the wiring next. The only thing I had a question on was the heat bed. I received a Rev 7 which there is no information in the manual about. It is almost like the Rev 6 but they have removed one resistor and the green and white wires. There is also only 1 LED. Other then that I havent had any major issues. I should be able to get most of it done tonight and finish up tomorrow. That is if I dont stay up all night just to finish it. =)

I've got the same type of iron only without the digital display. Just the dial. Incredible heat-up time. Best iron I've ever bought.

The Hakkos are definitely awesome. Not only do they heat up quick, they have extremely good heat transfer. I've been meaning to pick up an 888D. I use the older 936 at work and I love it.

At home right now I use one of the Radioshack butane irons. The tips don't last very long but while they're still good the iron is extremely fast at heating up, and I just love not being tethered to a cord.

Just watch out with cheap butane irons... some of them are pretty bad in my experience. I had one where the tank leaked and that's probably not very safe...

I have it all together, turns on fine. Loaded the software but when I go to set the Home position, no movement at all. Its like the motors are not getting any power. Any ideas?

So, we think its the F2 fuse. I have ordered some and hope thats it. I hate waiting.

You think or you know? Did you test the fuse?

Tested and confirmed. It is the fuse.

Got fuse, installed fuse, printing now. =) So happy!
