Heater outputs not working

Hi,
I have two hotends set up on my rostock max, each with a fan for cooling. Both fans are connected to the FAN 0 output of the rambo. The first hotend is connected to HEAT 0 and the second hotend is connected to HEAT 1.
The wiring to connect the fan to the FAN 0 output was soldered and worked fine since August 2013. Just a few minutes ago, the electrical tape that covered the solder joint of the fan wiring came loose, and the solder globs touched each other for a fraction of a second and shorted.
Now none of the outputs are working- the red LED that normally flashes with the heating PWM doesn't show up, and I can't heat up either hotend or turn on the fan. Only the fan shorted, not the heaters. I don't understand why shorting the fan output would instantly fry all of the critical heater outputs. The stepper motors still work, the display still works, and the yellow light shows that the power supply is working. The heater outputs and fan output are what stopped working suddenly.
Is there anything I can do to fix it? Replace fuses, ect. or am I screwed? My rostock just passed its one year anniversary (and warranty) so I won't be able to return the rambo board. If it really is dead, it happened at the worst time possible since I've invested in a printer dependent production job worth thousands of dollars and it's crunch time right now.
If it is dead and there is no hope, what replacement board would you recommend? I'm leaning towards getting another Smoothieboard and skipping on the third extruder for now. I'm low on money and I was really relying on this job, but stuff tends to happen when you least expect it....
