Hello to you all!

I'm currently waiting for my Rostock Max V2 to be delivered.... and I can tell you, boy, am I excited.
I've been playing with the idea to get into 3d printing for quite some time, but now it seems to be the time to stop pondering and start doing. :)

During the past two weeks, I have been reading this forum a lot, and the collective amount of wisdom and knowledge is just amazing. With what I have picked up so far, I hope to be able to avoid most of the "standard" mistakes and mishaps. I am very much looking forward to the build itself, and to get that great machine running nicely. :)

The one thing I am not looking forward to is to deal with all those imperial measurements - I have ordered a set of tools to be able to handle the screws and nuts on the max, but it seemed to be easier to get those instead of finding metric replacements for the fasteners themselves.

However! I am absolutely amazed about the quality of the community here, and I will try to make a little documentation of my build, and post it here as well. I certainly hope this and maybe pictures of the things I make will be all you're going to hear from me ('cause everything else would be a problem I can't solve myself, and that's something I can do without).

Yours,
-Aki
