Tips needed for a .7mm nozzle

I am presently using a .7mm nozzle on my Orion because what I am producing does not need to be high quality.
I am presently using Slic3r with the following settings:
.7mm nozzle
.4mm layer height
Print Settings Advanced, Extrusion Width They are all set to .4

What should the above settings be to achieve faster prints with medium quality?
I did do a print with the above settings and it was about twice as fast as normal because of the .4mm layer height.
I don't think it makes a difference but I am running PLA with cooling turned on.

Why would you set extrusion widths to .4mm? I usually set that to the nozzle diameter. Otherwise, the layer height is fine and will cut down print time. You can also kick up the speed since you can get a lot of material out of that big bore fast. Bump the hot end temp up a few degrees if you go above 60mm/s. You should be able to get to 90mm/s or faster.

Actually I set them to .4 because that is what they were and I forgot about them. Thanks for the other tips Michael. I have never used a nozzle this
large and it is great for quick parts where quality is not an issue. I will set the extrusion widths to .7mm

If you are printing large things, the fatter extrusion actually looks quite nice. I like making BIG vases with a .7mm. It prints faster and the layers are more in proportion to the object.

I am making covers for the front of the 12v switching power supplies.
With the .35mm nozzle running at 30mm/sec it was taking over 6 hours.
The .7 nozzle with Cura is now running the same part at 1.5 hours at 60mm/sec.
Once I have printed a couple I will try 90mm/sec. Great nozzle for this particular part.
Did I mention that Slic3R sucks?

i just started using cura and .7 nozzle too. i was only prototyping for size, so i think my layers were .6

the problem i had was that solid layers had large gaps between each rowof plastic; more than enough to fit my thumbnail in with room to spare. is there a setting i need to change to make sure the rows touch? i have not had this issue with my .5 nozzle doing .2 layers

Try pulling your layer thickness down to .4.
