I was in the middle of a casting session when my vacuum pump spit a coupler, It was on the weekend and I was not able to find one without having to order. when your on a deadline things like this can cause you to lose a job completely. What to do?? i tried to zip tie it together, yea that all most worked. The I thought theres a whole spool of couplers up stairs you big dummy!! So up stairs I went, modeled the part, and printed it. I was back up and running in just a couple of hours. Whats a thread without pictures?

YES! 3D Printed functional parts saving the day. That is the best use of this technology.
