I was in the middle of a casting session when my vacuum pump spit a coupler, It was on the weekend and I was not able to find one without having to order. when your on a deadline things like this can cause you to lose a job completely. What to do?? i tried to zip tie it together, yea that all most worked. The I thought theres a whole spool of couplers up stairs you big dummy!! So up stairs I went, modeled the part, and printed it. I was back up and running in just a couple of hours. :D Whats a thread without pictures?

Good job! Keep track of how much money you just saved, then you'll know when the printer has paid for itself.

YES! 3D Printed functional parts saving the day. That is the best use of this technology.

Glad to hear a success story.
