Hello everyone!
I've recently purchased an E3D v5 Bowden Hotend to replace the original SMCNC version that I accidentally bent.

Anyway,
I'm really just not quite sure how to mount this thing up! I've bought a J-Head mount from Trick Laser that is adapted for the Bowden...
all that looks good. But there is no way this thing is going to be able to get screwed down with the current spacers. So...do I need to go find longer spacers somewhere or am I just completely missing something?

You are definitely going to need longer spacers. McMaster Carr is one of the best places to buy them because they carry a huge variety.

you can mount it on the underside and print some spacers!!

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy and messing up the installation with some simple little thing.
I'll check the local hardware store today to make sure they don't have what I want (I think I saw a spacer drawer one time).
Failing that, McMaster it is! I love McMaster, I'm just not a huge fan of their shipping pricing for small items like this. $0.84 cents worth of PTFE cost me something like $6 in shipping :/. Not so bad when you have other items to order though. I just wish they would throw small one off's into a $0.34 envelope USPS!

Look in the local hardware store for a drawer that says "Tension Pin", you can use those as spacers as well, that's what I did!

If you're interested, I just posted a new fan shroud for the E3D if you're not a fan of the stock one.

It clips into place and holds tight so you don't have movement or any vibration/rattling.
