Hey Guys,

I have been reading bits and pieces from this forum for months now and decided that I would finally join. My name is Daniel Stein and I'm passionate about 3D printing, designing and making. My printer arsenal consists of a Rostock Max, Kossel Mini, and soon to be custom printer. If anyone knows about any printers with a build volume of at least 16"x16"x16" or wants to help me build one, please let me know. Does anyone on this forum live near Philly? Well anyway I look forward to being a part of this community and generating some helpful content!

Dan

Hey Dan, I think Hoss's printer on the CNCZone orum is at least that big. He's a legend, check it out in the bench top machines forum.

cheers,
Michael

Hey guys, Thanks for the warm welcome. I checked out Hoss's printer it's a 14"^3 pretty sweet though. I'm sure I'll look at a bunch of other printers for inspiration.

The PartDaddy large format printer is... um... big. http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php ... ddy#p18545

Sounds like you'll be building a custom machine. I wouldn't have attempted this a year ago, but after working with the Rostock so much, I really think that I could build a machine from scratch now. The physical part is easy, it's the control board, stepper drivers, and firmware that I've learned so much about.
