How I wrecked my Rostock Max. Really dead motor wrecked.

I need to make something big and circular, so was trying to test printing a 140mm Radius (Thanks for clarification) circle.
To do that, you must turn off skirts and brims, because Slicr happily puts those out of bounds.
I left the "avoid crossing perimeters" checked, which also generates out of bounds moves, so even if
your print is in bounds, the moves may not be.
Naturally, the Repetier Firmware could be expectd not to move anywhere out of the print volume.
But its free software, so no one tests it. (Just like paid software).
It does not prevent moves that wreck motors.
The kicker, is that there is a spot opposite each tower that reaching 140 mm means driving the carriage through the floor,
even though it is supposed to be "in bounds".
So printing my 140 mm circle about half way round gets opposite the Z tower,
and the motor tries to drive the carriage through the floor
which involves a horrible grinding sound as you race for the power switch.
But it seems to have survived. Two weeks pass. No, it did not survive.
Today it went down for the last time.
Good news is, I have plenty of time to fix the repetier Firmware to stay in bounds.
Its actually quite easy test. No excuse for not doing it.
So, if you need to print a 140 mm circle, you will wreck your motor, or something.
Try and settle for 138 mm. That is printable. Be sure and turn off
skirts, brims, and uncheck "do not cross perimeters."
