I finally got this one finished. :D

The machine was under construction by a friend of mine as a sanity test of the 2nd edition manual. Circumstances conspired against us both and it's taken MONTHS to get this poor machine built. A DOA plastic drive gear (yes, the kit is THAT old) set it back a further week.

It uses the new production arms and a new .5 nozzle. Works great! :)

Very nice! Makes me really wish I had painted my kit before I put it together ;-)

I can't tell from zooming in, but is that a part cooling fan off the left side of the end effector?

Yes. All the machines I've built get a layer fan and a LED ring right at assembly time. :)

The hot end that Red Sonja uses is the one assembled in the video I recently did.

By the way Gene, I see an error on your Red Sonya. You forgot to put the stop end screws in at an angle.

Gene, your Onyx looks scratched to all hell and back man!

They breed like rats, it's not my fault! Apparently printing after midnight is a Bad Thing. :D

Eaglezsoar: Pttthtth!

Flateric: Nah, that's just the pattern in the PVA glue. Both the glass and the Onyx are scratch free.

She's currently in hour 22 of a 26 hour print. It's AMAZING. I will post pics. :)
