First Print

I had a great deal of help from the SeeMeCNC team on this one but nonetheless, this is my first real print.

The green at the base is from leftover filament.

Now, since I did a first print, I'll share my goals:

I have been trying to build art projects from found materials. I need the printer to make gears, connectors, etc.

For example, making a marionette dance via moving in front of a Microsoft Kinect. (Kinect > Mac >arduino>device)

I'm figuring that doing some of that may generate more consulting projects (coding/connecting). I have some other ideas but I'm starting there. It was never about just printing something....

Is that this stretchlet, by any chance? http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13505

I tried printing it and had trouble. Slic3r took about 90 minutes to slice it, and when it printed, there were all kinds of gaps and flaws...

Just curious. Glad you're up and running, congrats! Good luck with your project too, that sounds neat. I know it's a lot different, but your Kinect project reminded me of this one http://hackaday.com/2010/10/15/window-c ... destrians/
