Rostock Max V3 wont auto calibrate

Everything was working fine printer wise. Was getting some bad prints .Nozzle seemed clogged with PTFE, replaced it, went to full calibrate using the auto calibration, wont calibrate. Goes back to the main screen (temps, version etc) and says Insert SD Card. Bought a new HE280 hotend assembly (complete) replaced it on my machine. Tried to full calibrate again, same behavior. I made sure the cables were seated correctly. Any ideas of what else to try?
