HELP NEEDED WITH RETRACTION SETTINGS (NEWBIE)

Hey guys so I am fairly new to 3D printing and i am printing some gears for my school project i am extruding at 200deg C and 0deg C for the bed, i am using hair spray (aqua net) my printer is a Rostock MAX V3, i am not sure how to play with retraction rate, the largest gear is 27mm and smallest gear is 14mm....i=how should i adjust the settings to prevent all that weird build up on the teeth of the gears?
