Noise dampening printer table

My problem was with transmitted noise. I quite like listening to the printer whirring away behind me. However the Mrs, downstairs, did not appreciate the constant thump-thump-thump that she could hear through the floorboards. This is the solution I came up with.

The black mat is sold to damp the vibration from washing machines. There are also three pieces of it inserted between the legs and the table-top making about two inches of it in total. The bricks spread the load and add inertial mass, as does the solid wood of the table itself, and the cork mats damp down another few dBs of noise. It's got three legs because things with three legs don't wobble.

So now I have somewhere to store my filament, She Who Must Be Obeyed is happy and the Orion has a smart new perch.
