Hello,

I recently built a RMv3, and am loving it so far except for one thing... The power supply fan noise. It's really loud.

I thought that this was normal, but but I've read other threads stating that - post Duet conversion (which I'm in the middle of) - that the loudest sound they hear from the printer is from the extruder fans; I can't even hear the extruder fans over the power supply fan noise - it's far louder.

Am I missing something (or do something wrong during my build)?

You're not the first to complain about that fan. A few have replaced it. You might find this thread helpful: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=10199

I suspect the threads you have read about quiet operation are mostly from people who are either not using that power supply (using PC supply previously supplied or have changed to a 24V supply), or replaced the fan with a quieter one, or were lucky enough to get one that isn't so noisy.
