Mac, funny thing is that I was just about to wrap mine in Kapton tape... the silicon tape should be easier... I will do that.

Do you think the smaller or larger pump would be best for the Eris. I want to order a larger pump for my Rostock anyway.
Thanks!
The Larger pump would give you the best results. The smaller one is no longer listed on my site.

Use a PWM motor controller such as this one to control the speed.

Or as I mention earlier, I will soon have my boards for a PWM kit that can connect to the fan output on your printer board.
I will also have a positive locking 8 pin connector just like the one on the Eris and new V3's that will lock with the socket so you don't have to print a retaining clip to keep the print head from unplugging itself.

Jasper,
Your site shows the Berd Air kit out of stock, but it shows stock on the pumps and tubes.
I would like to order one kit for the Eris, one extra pump to replace the one on my Max and two PMW kits.
How or when can I place such an order?

I should be getting more pumps in shortly, If you want I will reserve a kit for you and let you know.

Any word on when they'll be back in stock on your site? Thinking of possibly ordering 2. Thanks!

I got a shipment of pumps in, unfortunately some pumps were damaged in shipping. I tried to contact those that were waiting and covered them first, So I have 1 left.
EDIT: 0 left, sorry - more coming, hopefully undamaged this time

I also now have the eSwitch Kit that will allow you to direct connect to the printer controller. I Show a PDF for connecting to the Duet board, but should be the same for other controllers. Just check your board schematic for the correct pin connection.

I have added tubing and fittings on the store site.
Berd-Air cooling system
The 2mm Tubing slides onto the pipes a bit easier and is less restrictive, however it does not fit inside the 1/8" id tube, You will need a
1/8-3/32 reducing coupler.
Pumps are still out of stock. if you want me to notify you as soon as they come in, PM me and I will add you to the list.
Thanks

10mm tube
PLA 205c spiral vase
The one on the right was printed without any cooling at all.
The one on the Left, printed at 75% Berd-Air cooling.
You can see at the bottom of the left tube, I started out at about 30% cooling, then increased it until the tube printed correctly.

Installed my BerdAir system - and for the most-part, really liking it. I have, however run into a problem where burrs left over from the hole drilling process is preventing even cooling all the way around the ring. It's kind of disappointing that this was not done during a QC check by Yellow Jacket, but I digress...
Before I start digging around with an Exacto blade: Has anyone else encountered this problem, and come up with a better way of cleaning up/de-burring the drilled holes?

hmm, i've bought 6-7 of the round pipes and havn't had that issue. The holes are so small i'm surprised that there are burrs sizable enough to cause a blockage. If it were me, i'd just ask for a replacement.

Make a soap/water solution and freeze it, like how they bend trumpets:

How loud is the pump compared to the standard 25mm blower cooling fan?

significantly louder, but still worth it. plus, if you really wanted do you could put the pump in a muffler.

It is louder, but considering I'm usually not in the same room while running a print - I can hardly tell the difference
Mounting it with a rubber insulator helps considerably.

So I have the v2 pipe but I'm having issues mounting it to my Eris- any tips?
I tried a few zip ties and kapton tape but when the effector plate moved around the build area, the tube would angle (i attached it to the wiring, probably not the best idea)
What's the best way to mount it, specifically on the Eris?
Pictures super appreciated.
Thanks!

I use this clip I found on Repables
I think it is
http://repables.com/r/708/
It is attached to the fan duct with 3M double sided extreme tape

Great - thank you so much!
While we're at it - does your 8-pin wiring become loose/unplugged through every day printing? Happened to me last night, caused an 8+ hour print to fail. Thinking of wrapping it in kapton tape..

You could replace the OEM connector with this one that latches for a more secure connection...

Yeah I might have to do that - would it be as simple as plugging the old connector into that one, and that into the effector plate, or would I have to mess with the wiring itself to swap it from the old connector to that one?
