Playing around with my Oynx bed today (since I have no hotend, but anyways), I have found that Repetier firmware does indeed heat the bed much faster that Marlin. And yes it does support both PID and PWM for the heated bed. You can actually see it flashing the LED slower and slower as it nears the target temp.

I wonder if that is why it seems we are comparing apples to oranges when discussing how quickly the bed heats for some and not for others?

hey guys!! im tryin to set up a ssr to a 6"x6" 360 watt heating pad using repetier, ive heard many different ways to run it but im not sure how to go about it. does the heating pad wire to a wall outlet between the ssr and heating pad on one side?

does it need a standalone power supply? im using a 12v dc 20a 240watt power supply to run the steppers and hotend. could i possibly run it off the board alone?

some specs- prusa i3, budaschnozzle, rambo board, 5 nema 17s(using 3amps a piece i think), and a 360watt heating pad

also im glad to hear of people using repetier, im very happy with it!!
