Your delta effector looks awesome, as do the rod ends in aluminium - have you built those yourself?

I couldn't restrain myself any longer, so i pulled the trigger and ordered a full kit just now.

Third post in a row, this feels like a monologue

I received my Tri Hotend last Friday, and designed an effector platform for my HeffaBot Delta that I'm building - it can be found here if anyone is interested.
The OpenScad files will be uploaded as well, once I have had time to clean up the code a bit to be presentable.

That's a really nice looking effector Heffa! I just saw your design on youmagine, I was about to ask about a ring to clamp down the groove but then I saw the one you designed. Looks great!


Let me know how it works; as long as the hotend stays mounted on the effector in a rigid way, everything should print fine.

I actually just uploaded a new version of the groove mount, one that no longer obstuct two of the mounting holes on the effector - I didn't realize the problem until I printed the clamp for the first time yesterday

Afternoon gents

been lurking for a while, bit the bullet and bought one of these gems to put it to the test. Got a few applications where I need 2 colours + support materials. Here is a vid plus a few pictures of the first test print (pls. ignore dodgy youtube crap in the background lol). Unfortunately my duet shield has an issue so won't be able to go full 3 extruders until next week. I'll keep everyone posted...

Once I'm up and running at full bore I'll finalize settings etc and attempt a 3 extruder print.

Few details on my machine:
Custom XXL delta printer running on 24V, 0.9deg steppers
Duet 0.6 board + shield running latest DC42 firmware
Polystrooder tri hotend on diy effector with 30mm fan (couldn't find any models using standart traxas rod ends so made my own lol)

Simplify3d slicer
Spring material : Ngen
Support material: HIPS

Mini Review:
So far so good, dry run all 3 heaters for 1h to see how tri hotend heatsink copes (ran for 1h), it performed well, 24v 30mm fan kept cold end nice and cool. Effector was printed using XT-CF so it's good up to 70 deg C or so. I'll probably end up installing another parallel 30mm fan for safety/redundancy since my machine is constantly printing 48h+ jobs.

Tri hotend kit is really nicely put together, high quality CNC'd. Really love that the nozles are all packed really close together. My machine is pretty well built and had minimal effector tilting using a e3d chimera. This should now be further minimised with the tri hotend.

Does your machine do 2 layers per hot end and then switch or does it switch over every layer ?

Do you have a few pics of the whole machine to share ?

Sort of yes. 1st nozzle prints layer then switches over to 2nd, purges nozzle, prints 2 layers then switches to 1st purges and so on.

Got my new board so 3 nozzle printing coming soon dont get it why there's bot a lot of people using this hotend.

Any plans on making water cooled version?

Hi, this thread looks dead, but I was curious if anyone has installed one of these on a Max v3 Rostock printer yet? Do you have to remove the i2c controller to make this work?

MatterHackers is still carrying these, and they still look amazing.
