I'm not really new, but I thought I'd reintroduce myself after a year of using SeeMeCNC printers.
I am a middle school teacher and am currently teaching some new STEM classes (Design process alongside robotics & CAD) at Rose Hill Middle School in the Bridle Trails area of Redmond, WA.
I purchased an Orion Delta last year for my classroom (which was a huge hit) and then was gifted a Rostock Max V2 kit. I had a dad of one of my students build the kit for me and we're using that one now too. I still can't keep up with production and have mobs of 6-8th grade kids each day asking me if their print is done. The dad who built the printer works for Microsoft and submitted his volunteer hours for matching which really offset the cost of the printer.
Anyway, I would love to reach out to any quality folks close by who might want to partner with me and my students with these printers collaboratively and creatively. I'm planning on building a few more hopefully. Additionally, it would be great to develop some fun design projects for them. (I just received a grant to purchase a bunch of Arduino stuff.)
I don't have an engineer's background - just started creating elective courses a few years ago to meet the needs of our students and now there's a waiting list to get into them. If there's some folks that want to make an investment in some amazing kids, here's your chance.
