Cheap(er) E3d tips on sale in 2 days

Post by mrbi11 »

I wish I'd waited a week.
I just order an all metal E3d tip. WHy ? because it can print stiff hotter than 240C
(such as the nylonf stuff seeme sells).

Anyway, I was amazed to order from england and get it in 2 days!
I'm still waiting on an order from trick laser placed earlier.

shipping was about $18 fedex in 2 days.

With exchange the regular bowden price is about $80 and sale price about $64 us dollars.
If you order, I recommend you get spare heater, tip and thermistor for a few bucks more,
cause the fedex shipping is high for cheap parts.

from emailer:
big discount. - 20%

This means that:
An E3Dv5 Direct is down from £44 to £35.20.
The Bowden version is £39.20 instead of £49.

Good deal for sure (ends up being $84 shipped), but you can it for $87 shipped from the new US distributor and maybe get it quicker.

quicker than 2 days?

I have nothing bad to say about filastruder.

I ordered from E3d mainly because they have spare electrical parts.
I was not comfortable with not having a backup for the heater or thermistor.

It was a pleasant surprise to get it in 2 days.

Good call, I read that wrong. I thought you were saying the sale was for 2 days...that's kind of amazing that your hot end arrived in 2-days.

I hope that filastruder intends to stock ALL the replacement parts especially the bowden connectors and all the parts carried by the UK site.

Tim here, from Filastruder. This is actually why we have the "other parts" page on the site, which states:

Other parts are available upon request - just contact us (there's a link above) with what you need and we'll get it sorted out.

We have all of the parts in house, and this (adding spare bits via email) has worked great for folks so far. If they're inexpensive spare parts, I just include them for free so far. We're just getting things sorted with E3D, and I just graduated with my PhD (Friday) and finished moving to my new house (10 minutes ago). I'll add things to the store this week, but rest assured everything is in stock and ships within one business day of payment.
