Rostock Australia Signing in

Post by McSlappy »

My dad and I went halves in a Rostock Max a few months back and have been slowly piecing it together in between work. I amped up the progress since I got laid off last week, so it's almost done!
I blew up a hot end resistor and so am waiting on a few fuses (Please SeeMeCNC, include 2 spare fuses!)
This is my second 3d printer, the first was a Leapfrog Creatr - which ended up being a disaster (to be fair they replaced the whole machine for free). I learned a lot about printing during that ordeal, and so far I really like most of the design choices that SeeMeCNC have done. I'm looking forward to getting this thing running ASAP and learning more as I go.
My background is Graphical design, Industrial Design, Animation, 3D modeling, photography and bullshitting people. Now you'll all wonder which, if any, of these are actually correct :)

I hope to use my rostock to help prototyping things.

Isaac

Isaac, I have already talked to you about the fuses and welcomed you to the forum and it is good to know that you are a bullshitter.
You will fit in here perfectly! We have quite a few users from down under just so you won't feel alone.
Happy Printing! (after you get the new fuses)

G'day fellow Aussie, I'm a n00b here myself but this is a pretty cool bunch of people with some solid feedback when things go wrong. Where in Oz are you?
