Maple syrup is a fickle beast. I've had prints that didn't hold at all, then I've had some that I was worried would never come off. That stuff is scary... Scary delicious!
I loved my Rostock so much I now sell them in Oz :)

I've had the most success with blue 2090 tape with a bit of Office Max glue stick on top. That and making sure I've got my first layer height is still in the ball park.
