Re: T-Glass Vase
sharpie-on-pla-DSC_2932.jpg OK... I just couldn't splain how good this colored t-glass looks :) This is how I sharpie-colored the Tiki man t-glass. In the photo I used PLA for its contrast. You can see it is a small thin stripe. That lil thin red stripe made the gold color on the tiki man. Now the ...

gold tikiman-DSC_2904.jpg Ummm... I use a Sharpie :) If you mark only 1 side of the filament it gives a really good optical effect as you tilt it up/down. Diff effects depending on what side you mark. Colors may change when you print, red sharpie makes a good Gold :) You can see the color through ...

Re: T-Glass Vase
t-glase-vase-No-1-2-3-DSC_2892.jpg The larger one ... I bumped up the speed to (30mm/s) x 120% and bumped the temp up to 220. The first 3 layers don't like the speed. Had to do them at 30mm/s and slicer slows it down to 30% of that so 10mm/s on them. Looking at them real close I can't see any diff ...

Re: EZextruder stepper still slipping!
When I had a problem like this ... I had to put a fan on the Rambo to keep the driver cool.
I tried every speed and setting , the faster I ask it to go the more clunking noise it made.
The fan made it work like it should.
YMMV

Re: Rostock Stopping during printing?
Ya know, sometimes I just don't have a choice :) I would rather someone fix a problem that for everyone go and hide from it. If we don't speak up no one would know there is a problem. I don't have the "know how" to fix it. I have an up to date system, SSD drives, lots of memory, debugged all I can ...

Once 2 hours in to a 5 hours print, and once on the 20th layer of a 4 hour print.
One "may' have been while Win7 was downloading a new update. The computer didn't reboot but the notice was there to reboot.

Re: Keep losing my balls.
I don't know so I'm a askin :) Why are you "bonding" the balls to screws? You use a magnet on the arm... why not on the effector. The ball would be between the 2 magnets and... the "bond" strength of 2 magnets with it's poles in line would be stronger upon the ball. ==( )== ? I'll go now :)

Eaglezsoar, thanks for the thumbs up , lots of hard work went into it :) A few things I am sure to change.... I will at some point rewire the whole setup.
