Although it it not necessarily recommended to run Mach3 on laptops I do successfully run it on an old 1.5Ghz Mobile Pentium with 1GB of memory. I did disable ACPI as recommended to get a consistent frequency for the servo loop in Mach3.

I also had problems with PLA jamming and the PTFE tube mushrooming.
