Re: Problem with the #define PRINTER_RADIUS parameter?
Just measured how far we are from the center of the heated bed. The hot end is 2 - 2.5 mm from the heated bed. (not 3-5 mm as previously mentioned). The X, Y, and Z are properly aligned.

Could this be related to the PRINTER_RADIUS EEPROM bug mentioned in a similar thread on the forums?

Re: Problem with the #define PRINTER_RADIUS parameter?
Yes we are using seemecnc firmware and have assembled a Rostock Max from the kit they sent us a couple of months ago. We have been using Geneb's second edition manual, and have downloaded the sofware as per his directions.

Problem with the #define PRINTER_RADIUS parameter?
We are doing the final calibration of our Rostock Max...X, Y and Z all seem to be calibrating fine. But the #define PRINTER_RADIUS command does not seem to work. We changed this parameter down by .5, another .5, etc, but it does not seem to move. The head is still 3-5 mm above the bed. Any ideas on ...

question regarding the RAMBo?
Hi there...we just downloaded v1.05 of the documentation and is says: "A quick note on the RAMBo, the controller for your Rostock MAX. The RAMBo is static sensitive, so please don't take it out of the static bag it ships in until you're ready to use it." We already took ours out of the bag (since ...

Latest revision of the documentation?
Hi there. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was an update to the documentation. We have been using the (near final) version of The Rostock MAX Assembly Guide, 2nd Edition, Version 1.00, May 8th, 2013. Is that the latest or is the a subsequent revision.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Rostock MAX Assembly: forgot to expose counter sink holes
Hello all, I forgot to take off the top layer of the melamine where applicable to create the counter sinks. Will this create problems with assembly or functionality or is it just an aesthetic choice? Should I unscrew the screws and create counter sinks? Also, what is the best way to create the ...

Re: Rostock MAX Assembly: Is there something I am missing?
Geneb, The screws used to install the idler bearings are pan head in my kit whereas in your manual they are socket head. Also I have a few things to recommend: Diagrams with arrows showing where screws, bearings, nuts ect. go, a detailed crimping lesson, and as I said before, pictures of the ...

Rostock MAX Assembly: Is there something I am missing?

Rostock MAX Assembly - #4 star lock washers
Hello all, On page 16 of the newest manual (the incomplete one) the author says that "I would recommend adding a #4 star lock washer in addition to thread locker when you perform the installation." when talking about installing the stepper motors. Which size and brand should I buy? I am not sure ...

Rostock MAX Assembly: M3 x 10mm pan head screws
Hello all, I am on the step of installing the stepper motors in the assembly and I am having trouble identifying the M3 x 10mm pan head screws. On the bill of materials it says there are 16, which makes sense because there are 4 stepper motors each with 4 holes, but I can only find one packet with ...

and thank you to the others on this thread for the helpful suggestions. We are members at Techshop Sf so maybe someone down there can help us. I am sure we can figure out how to build this, but the "time to value ratio" does not solve for me if I have to trouble shoot each step. I would prefer to ...

This would be very useful info for the next rev of the assembly manual.
