Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress
largest footprint I have been able to print. IMG_0703.JPG Though the first layer was not perfect. Depending on which direction(clockwise or counter clockwise) these loops where made changed the location of the thin area. Any clue what may cause this. My first though was hysteresis in the head ...

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress
Finally had time to get some work done on calibration when i notice this strange behavior, at least to me. I have posted a link below to a YouTube video. While doing the paper grip test I noticed that it was difficult for me to get consistent results. Then I noticed that the friction/force on the ...

True, i'm using a single 24v psu with the 24 to 12v regulator you recommended. I have read some mix reviews on the PSU I'm currently using so I intend on trying out another PSU.mhackney wrote:Might it simply be current fluctuations due to the bed heater are affecting the steppers?

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress
I am not getting 10c variations, the temp is the bed is relatively constant ~1c using bang bang. But I can try using the alternate method.
Any other suggestions on what may cause the issue seen in the video?

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress
I was thinking more of EMI from the power supply. I don't think 1c in temp change would cause that amount of variation in the nozzle/bed positions?

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
I'm using your marco but I am not getting any readout to the console after the G30 S-1 command. The FSR triggers but no info is displayed. I am using the web console to send the commands. Any thoughts?

Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress
Try and follow this: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=9299&start=125#p85565 I would just make a few modifications to what the mhackney says there, one is to remove the height of the paper (I use a 0.05mm feeler gauge) from the value you got on the probe point, so if you got a probe ...

I tested doing a 10 calibration, 3 peripheral and 6 mid way and i got an r-squared of ~0.04. This supports what you said. Re: Duet setup - instructions in progress
I have been working on setting up the Duet board with the FSR probes. I have followed the steps provided for mounting and installing the FSR probes. When I run calibration using bed radius of 100mm my r-squared value is about 0.06, but when I go up to a bed radius of 140 the r-square value almost ...

"Send M562 H# where # is the heater number." This is at the bottom of the Duet wiki page "https://duet3d.com/wiki/Spurious_heater_faults_and_how_to_avoid_them#How_to_reset_a_heater_fault_without_restarting_the_Duet" This did not clear the faults for me, has anyone successfully used this command?

Re: Mhackney's Rostock Max
Thanks for the info.
Another question... I just purchased the Bondtech QR, couldn't find much information on your installation of the Bondtech extruder on your V1. Do you have this covered somewhere? Did you use a similar installation that you showed on the V3?

Re: Updating to Duet WiFi electronics
I decided to try David Crockers Differential IR Probe on my Rostock. Currently it is fitted with FSRs but I can leave those in place and mount the IR probe and be able to do head-to-head comparisons. I've also converted the electronics to a pre-production Duet WiFi board that I was sent to test. So ...

Re: Bed Heat suddenly stopped working R-Max v2
I am not into schematics, so I really can't say for sure, but I would think it is logical what you say. When you ask the host to heat, does it show the target temp in the lcd display correctly? If so, I think there is a problem with your rambo. Did you do some rewiring or upload new firmware? In ...

Re: Bed Heat suddenly stopped working R-Max v2
No loose wire at the Rambo input. Again, the LED light on the Rambo to indicate the heat bed is on does not light. I believe this indicator light should turn on even if there is no power to the heat bed correct?

Re: Bed Heat suddenly stopped working R-Max v2
I was searching this forum for this exact issue. My bed suddenly stopped working. 15amp fuse has continuity, and power supply is providing power. red LED6 is NOT powering on.
