Re: Temperature Calibration?
I gotta tell ya.... I freaking despise this machine. Ever since the 1st day I had it assembled I have had nothing but issues. In the past year, I've only been able to successfully print maybe 4 times. FOUR!! I'm irritated to the point where I'm about to throw this god damn thing in the trash and buy ...

Re: Temperature Calibration?
Okay so, I noticed another element here.
If I heat up the hotend only, it'll reach temperature (228°). If I heat up both the bed and the hotend, I the temp wont reach target. It'll only go up to 118°. I didn't have this problem before... Would this be due to the power supply being insufficient?

Re: Temperature Calibration?
I set it to preheat to 228° within Matter Control. The hotend will reach 118° and will not continue rising. IF I set it to preheat to 118° within Matter Control, the hotend will only reach 108° and will not continue rising. It seems to be a constant 10° difference below w/e the target temp is set to ...

No. The temperature being displayed within Matter Control & the digital display on the machine is showing a 10° discrepancy.

Temperature Calibration?
I'm using a Rostock MAX V2 I just finished a 19hour print @ 228°. Everything went great. I attempted to run the second part and something strange happened. The hotend temp only climbed up to 218°. I figured the kp, ki, kd calibration somehow skewed off. So I ran the calibration command. I input the n ...

Re: RostockMax V2 Stopper switch malfunction?
Okaaaay..... When I drop the hot end all the way to the print plate and then send the arms home, I pushed the X switch as it's moving upward. The X arm stopped moving. I flipped the power switch to stop the home action. I reset and connected to the laptop again. Dropped the hot end down to the print ...

Re: Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
Yes. I ended up using my laptop and was able to clear the EEPROM and reinstall the drivers/firmware. This solved the issues listed above, HOWEVER... it ended up manifesting a new issue (as seen in the video link below):

Re: RostockMax V2 Stopper switch malfunction?
I'll try this method with all three switches. Although when I ran the M119 test, I found all the switches match up to the corresponding towers. *shrugs* What else could cause the motors to not respond to the stopper switches being depressed? Everything is plugged into the controller board accurately.

RostockMax V2 Stopper switch malfunction?
Issue: I'm currently making an attempt at re-calibrating the machine since I couldn't correct the weird settings after I used Slic3r within MatterControl. Now I have an entirely different issue that decided to manifest. When clicking "ALL" home, the X, Y, Z motors send the arms up toward home, but ...

Re: Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
Now that I think about it, go into your settings&controls in mattercontrol, then options, and check that your "slice engine" is not Slic3r. I think this may have been what caused it initially. I remember exploring the other slicer engines before this issue occurred. I now have it set to cura, but i ...

Re: Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
My v2 is doing something very similar. I have followed the setup guide word for word and am at a loss as to what is happening. The calibration videos, and belt tensioning walk throughs are somewhat vague. I do not think that the arms would do that if they are passing the end stop tests and the ...

Re: Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
When I go home tonight, I'm going to try some of the suggestions here. I ended up getting busy with other projects and had to push my 3D printer to the side for a while. But now I'm back to it with a vengeance! I must get this sucker functioning properly!

Re: Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
Wires seem to be secure and plugged in accordingly. What does a flashing orange light on the circuit board mean?

Re: Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
Have you tried printing from an SD card vs USB? Do you get the same results? Which slicer are you using? I am currently using MatterControl 1.5 as the software interface or "Slicer" program. I'm currently uploading a video showing another strange anomalous element that has recently developed. When ...

Re: Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
Have you contacted support yet? I have sent the video to them via fb, but I have not called them on the phone as of yet. I probably should reach out to them at this point though. Have you tried printing from an SD card vs USB? Do you get the same results? Which slicer are you using? I have not ...

Re: Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
I've seen printers do some funky sh*t, but that's pretty much the topper. :) The Z axis lowers a lot faster than the X and Y which surprises me. I'd be tempted to blame crosstalk on the end-stop switches right off, but without the machine in front of me, I can't be sure. The only visible issue I ...

Re: Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
I'd start with the wiring to the limit switches, if there is a bad connection or if they share a tower with motor wires, noise can cause them to generate false positives, which will randomly stop carriages moving. You can disable the test when printing in the firmware, but you should only do that ...

Rostock Max v2 Freaks out!
Here is the link for the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osNryZaMHnY&feature=youtu.be (The wires that are exposed at the moment are for the fans. I haven't connected themy et.) This machine was able to print the two fan shrouds but after that, it freaks out and either shoots out of bounds or ...
