Re: About to toss this thing

Let me amend that some to clarify. I adjust the screw or the numbers in the EEPROM until the tower is at zero, then move to the next tower. Once those three are all at zero, I check the center and adjust the horizontal radius as needed. Then I keep going in that fashion until I don't need to adjust ...

Re: About to toss this thing

When I tried the EEPROM method of calibration, I removed the screws so that the skates themselves were the ones triggering the endstops. Here's how I do my calibration: 1. Set initial Z-height. 2. Set to home. 3. Move to the X tower, 5mm off the glass. 4. Slowly lower until I have the same grab as ...

About to toss this thing

I have spent hours upon hours trying to calibrate this thing, and for some reason, it only seems to get worse. I have tried the hardware calibration via the screws, no luck. I've tried the firmware calibration, no luck. The horizontal radius has been from 110 to 150, recalibrating every .5 step ...

Re: Poor prints, help...

I tried the purple elmers glue stick, and it was even worse. I applied it while the bed was hot and waited for it to turn clear. That's actually why I went to the tape/slurry.

Poor prints, help...

I'll start with the problem. First several layers look great. They are uniform in thickness all the way around. Several hours later I go back and the layers have pulled up and are curling all the way around. I have blobs of plastic all the way around in random places. (I'll get pictures next chance ...

Re: Clogged E3D Nozzle

I'll have to work on that once I get this one cleaned out. I'll leave it to sit another day to see how it dissolves. If it doesn't, I'll try some of the methods mentioned here.

Thank you all.

Re: Clogged E3D Nozzle

Wes, the reason I switched to the E3D was the thermistor in the OEM came loose and the PEEK melted. The E3d end was one I had been planning to upgrade to, so this just made me do it sooner. KAS, I've actually already done that. I had been doing plenty of reading while waiting for my printer to ...

Re: Clogged E3D Nozzle

I print in ABS, so I was hoping it would clear it, but after 12 hours, still no dice. As far as the fan yes, I'm running it all the time.

Clogged E3D Nozzle

I recently installed an E3D v6 Nozzle in my machine and I have yet to get a decent print out of it. The stock nozzle keeps clogging and now its so bad, that even after almost 12 hours of soaking in acetone, it's still not clear. My question is twofold. 1. Any ideas why it keeps clogging? (I've ...
