@geneb, I printed that lid at high speed just as a rough draft, hence the poor surface finish.

Hmmm, not sure about the Brassfill. Seems to come out a bit gritty compared to Bronzefill. The promo photos look fantastic (don't they always) but I can't seem to get a finish on it that I'm happy with. To be fair, Brassfill is still in beta. Hopefully, they'll improve the formula. Brassfill ...

I used small, ball bearing type shot in one of these tumblers ... http://www.growingtreetoys.com/product/rock-tumbler-kit
I let it run for about 8 hours but it barely made an impression on the bronzefill.

Very nice, way better than the results I got.

@ mhackney, have you had any luck polishing the bronzefill ?
I tried with a tumbler using small, round shot but the results were rubbish tbh.

Do you sand the parts first or do you just put them straight into the tumbler ?
I just bought a tumbler myself to try with Bronzefill. Just waiting on the shot being delivered.

I am printing some test coupons of the ColorFabb bronze and copper to break test. I won't be surprised if they are quite strong, I've tried tweaking the rings in the photo above and no sign of cracking. It will be interesting to see the failure mode - clean break vs jaggy break. I have the rings in ...

Just been taking a look at some of the prints online made with the Colorfabb bronzefill and copperfill and the results are indeed very impressive, especially once it's polished.
Looks like some folk are using good old Brasso to polish it.
