Re: Greetings from Bangkok

Hi Damian

I have just arrived in Bangkok, neighborhood Bang Na. My Rostock Max V2 will be arriving in about a month. I built it last year while living in Jakarta. Let me know if you would like to meet up for a coffee and notes comparison on the build or printing.

Re: First print problems

First print problems

Hello all I have recently completed a Max V2 build and started printing. Unfortunately I have not been able to successfully print the Peek fan shroud, it keeps coming loose from the bed with about 10 rows to go in the print. The last photo below is a couple of the prints that have failed. There ...

Re: Toms Max V2 build

That was certainly my first thought and I dont want to start experimenting before I know everything is working. The only thing that I could think of for his reasoning is that silicone caulking actually makes a reasonable glue for some things.

Toms Max V2 build

I am building a Max V2 in Jakarta, just got the drive belts on and am about to start on the extruder. There are a few pictures here if you are interested in seeing the progress. The normal products that we are all used to can be very difficult to find here. I included a picture of the RTV silicone I ...

Thanks for the info, managed to delete the extra posts as well. Going to see if chrome makes it any easier not to get extra messages.

Hi all I have just started building a Max V2, located in Jakarta. A lot of the "normal" supplies are difficult to find here. I tracked down some Loctite 242 but not sure if it is doing what it is supposed to. Who knows how old the stock was or if it was even genuine product. I have some waste from ...

Rostock Max kit on the way

Hi from Indonesia. Currently working in Indonesia and waiting for kit to arrive. Should be interesting as my Bhasa Indonesian language skills are very limited, almost non existent, and finding the kinds of supplies that we are all used to purchasing "off the shelf" are sometimes non existent here ...
