Re: G0 and G1 dwell. . .

Is this still a problem for anyone else?
ive found that slic3r 0.7.1 doesnt use G0 which i was getting good results with. Ive just "upgraded" to 0.9.9 and the dwell at G0 has returned making it almost unuseable

Re: My overly engineered printer needs help

Its working!!! All i had to do was shorten the thermal barrier so that almost all of the cold side was in contact with the heat sink. It still needs alot of fine tuning but im happy it will now make it through a print quite reliably. The biggest issue that ive found now is that Slic3r produces very ...

Slic3r and Mach3 arc support

Im finding that for any curved surface im getting a very rough jerky movement is there any way to smooth out this kind of movement? im sure its not my printer as i ddnt have this problem with skeinforge. im wondering if the constant velocity mode in mach3 could help but is there any way to change ...

Re: G0 and G1 dwell. . .

Im having exactly the same problem and its annoying the hell out of me, im using the find and replace trick but i really wish i ddnt have to. Im pretty sure its not acceleration but if your not having issues could you post your acceleration and feed rates?

Re: My overly engineered printer needs help

Since you mention it;s a Mk7 copy I assume it has a stainless barrel with no liner. There are hotends that successfully print PLA using a stainless as a thermal break, but if you look at nopheads experiments, it isn't simple. Both the recent Arcol hotends and the hotend from the prusa I3 do this ...

id thought of that but unfortunately didn't help much, it did help a little but i still end up with the same issue just after a couple more layers

Re: My overly engineered printer needs help

I know that feel bro. I'm also using PLA plastic, and I was having some jamming issues. I fixed them by: -dialing in the temperature, mine was too high so the plastic melted early -installing a fan to direct air-flow directly to the PEEK tubing to cool the filament so it does not melt too early ...

Re: Mach3 Zaxis help needed

Welcome! John here from SeeMe. If i had to bet, i would look at your motor tuning for the z axis and or your a axis extruder. If you have a lot of accel it might be in the ramping of the two thats causing it to do that. Are you running your extruder as an A axis in mach, or as a spindle with M3 M5 ...
