Re: ABS Delamination...!
I can get perfect ABS prints on walls like that by setting temp for first layer at 229 and bed 75 (helps with sticking to bed) and then all the rest of the layers at 225 and bed 70. The cooling fan is the big part, I leave auto cooling on bed_temperature = 70 bridge_fan_speed = 70 cooling = 1 ...

Re: Circles are now Oval - Desperately need some help!
Realized I hadn't given the final update to resolve this issue. Fixing the problem with the bound up joints and readjusting the cheapskates would have taken care of the problem. However when I readjusted the cheapskates I went the opposite direction with one of them this was skewing the print job ...

Re: Circles are now Oval - Desperately need some help!
Still getting ovals. They are running from front to back (was wrong on the direction change). The test model is a smaller cylinder sitting on top of a bigger one. The smaller cylinder is running is size from 12.22mm to 12.44 and the larger cylinder is running 29.80mm - 30mm so the amount of 'skew ...

Re: Circles are now Oval - Desperately need some help!
You are correct - metal joints and one on the 'Y' (right) post was totally bound up. It took some heat (not much) to actually get it off the rod, cleaned everything up, removed and cleaned and lubricated them all. Recalibrated and it took care of the oblong from going from front to back and now ...

Also, just to be sure, I used Cura and got the exact same results as I did with Slicer.

Circles are now Oval - Desperately need some help!
I have been printing on my Rostock Max v2 almost 10 months putting on 750 hours and going through 4.2 miles of plastic and everything has been 'perfect' when it came to things in the round and other shapes. Squares were squares and circles were circles. This week all of a sudden circles are oval. I ...

I tried using the homecontructor site, but everything I convert sounds like crap. Guess it is time to just start printing instead of playing again!

Changing the Beeping Sounds
I saw a video awhile ago where someone changed the beeping played when starting a print from the standard multiple beep to sound like R2D2. Any clue or documentation as to how I could do something similar. Mainly I figured if you could do it at the beginning with a 'tune' then you should be able to ...

Re: Filament Guide & Dust Collector
If you decide to print this using Repetier you need to scale up by 10. For some reason every time I design something using AutoCAD and export the stl file the size is always divided by 10 even though I use mm for my units. Once printed you just use a sponge or other dust magnet in the box. This is ...

Extruder Problems
I am trying to print the all mighty Big_Nippled_Parametric_Gyro_Cube with T-Glase (Orion Blue) and have had problems with easyxtruder. After about 2.5 hours into the print the material bunches up into the extruder and of course that is when things get noisy which is my 'oh crap' alarm. It doesn't ...

Re: Filament Guide & Dust Collector
Hey tamcofarms, That is a really nice design, and a very good print, but I'm not sure how that's going to keep dust off the filament. if you make the aperture too small, it will grab the filament and starve the extruder. any larger than that, and dust will fit right along with the filament. Why not ...

dust2.png dust1.png photo.JPG I created an all-in-one filament guide and dust collector for my Rostock Max v2. It snaps into place in the existing filament hole on the top of the machine. Re: All Jammed Up Plus aka help please!
THANKS!!!!!! Lowering the temp to 190c seems to have done the trick. It has been printing for the last 7 hours straight without skipping a beat. I wonder why the defaults were set so high in the ini file itself, I got in this knowing it wasn't plug 'n' play which has definitely given me the ...

All Jammed Up Plus aka help please!
I have a problem with the nozzle jamming up. I had problems with the thermistor staying put (cracked the resistors good as the system tried to keep up with the temp) so I followed Gene's video and upgraded to the screw in type and 40 watt heater cartridge. Went through the whole calibration process ...
