Tangled!
Had my first fail in a while -

Somehow my filament reel got tangled! The extruder couldn't pull any more filament through, so my printer was extruding nothing for a few minutes until I noticed.
I'm guessing that when I put the reel away, I must have accidentally poked the end through another loop, leaving it to tangle for next time.
Lesson learned

I think my bowden tube was hanging on for dear life, as I always noticed when swapping filament that there was a 'notch' that it would often get stuck on. I know now that it was the bowden tube not being pushed up against the extruder enough!

print was at about 75% too

Heh yup, if it's going to go wrong, it will happen with an audience.

Great idea with the smoke detector! Does it ever have false alarms?

Oh and there is a really nice little bowden tube clip that helps prevent fail 2 from happening...

I've been using them for over a year with no bowden tube failures.

Re: Tangled!
I bought a variety pack of hitch pin clips from Harbor freight and they work perfectly for holding up the bowden connector and being made of metal they will work forever.
