My DELTA-1
I wished to had a machine from SeeMeCNC but simply at the part of world i am living can not afford too many taxes. I am having my home made CNC and following pictures shows my progress so far.. I named it DELTA-1. I dont know whether this thread to be continued or not as this doesnt pertains to SeeMeCNC...

Thanks guys for giving me space in this superb forum. I am going to install magnetic effector arms. Designed the effector plate and CNC machined 2mm Aluminum. I also drilled /tapped M3 holes in the hot end fin part ( don't know the name of it)...

Is it contact type?

Teoman, This is inductive proximity probe NO NPN type. I am using the same in my CNC machine for homing and limit... I am using 12VDC to work with. I made a opto-isolater PCB which will work with RAMPS1.4 logic level voltage... These probes have higher accuracy as compared to mechanical type limit switches

Thanks Ben.. I am working hard to get it completed but the more i work on it the more things comes out on the way .. I am doing office work and get little time to work on it as the days are short here..
The better is to get the completely assembled printer...no hassles at all... today did more CNC work..hell of work ahead... dont know how will it goes, how will i calibrate..what results i will get!!!! May be someone here help me...

Installed the belt by my own way ... was thinking how to lock , how to make proper tension. here is the simple procedure.

This thing is looking good so far. I'm wondering how you're keeping track of tolerances and dimensions on this stuff though, especially since the plastic and wood parts are subject to thermal expansion and moisture warping.
In particular, how did you align the linear rails on the vertical axis? How straight are they, how much backlash, friction, mass, ect.
Either way that CNC routing looks nicely done; it makes me want to make a big CNC router for my own projects!

Hi Generic Default..look at my CNC router 5ft x5ft..its amalgamate of wood, steel and aluminum.... i have experienced machining of wood, plastic and Aluminum with it with close tolerances.. If this big machine can provide tight tolerance then what about the smaller 3D printer... I hope i will get good accuracy too but again time will tell...

@teoman..didn't think of that ... and i got the magnets from Dart games... These are assembled in metallic casing and the good thing is that the back side of casing has M5 tapping...

thanks timothy.... Finally Its Alive without any magic smoke.... Now requires tweaking,alignment and calibration... Needs to resolve minor issue with one of Axes motor (adjustment of current at Y-axis motor)..need good Cable management... .. Still way to go for actual printing...
