Good call, I'll reroute them.

EDIT: I have an InFocus LP335 and the lens is on the right of the projector. The unit hangs off of the right side of the machine about 2 inches. Is the projector base plate reversible? I'm thinking of flipping it over.

From my view it is... but trial fit it first and see how it goes. I think the holes are symmetrical where they fasten to the sides. And as most of us have found, you need to shave off the tabs on the projector base plate to fit as they do not fit cleanly unless you do. - Eric

Facing the rear of the machine with the projector lense facing front, my Optoma is oriented towards the right. I put the base plate on wrong first and refeversed it. I think things are ok.

The posts on the Anti-Backlash Nut Carrier need a redesign. Mine, in PLA broke coming off the printer. Can they be "wing-like"?

I'm going to print at .1 mm for now - but they really broke quite easily.

Question: Does Nylon react to resin?

I have concern about my Z threaded rod and the motor mount as well. With the sled near the top the rod has to bend a bit from the coupler to the anti-backlash nut. I'm afraid to take it all the way to the top. I know mhackney suggested a slotted motor mount but I'm wondering about slotting the anti-backlash nut mount as well.

I ended up printing one of the projector mounts at the same time as the anti-backlash nut and got much better results.

Anyone know the timeline for receiving our missing parts? I need a few of them to even complete the build, so I am basically at a stand still at the moment. :(

Before I got my kit, I had noticed the anti-backlash print prototype had been broken (can be seen in early pictures).
I beefed up the "pins" on the outside and included space for it to still be bolted on. I can post the my version if anyone is intested.

I'm stuck right now as I need to remove the Z motor plate and slot it so I can slide the motor over about 1-2 mm to reattach to the Z-coupler. After that the mechanicals should be 100% done for me.

The build manual has been delayed by Real Life(tm), but I'm hoping to get something pushed out by this weekend. If some of you are waiting for it, I apologize for the delay!

John is reviewing (or should be) the first drop right now.

We have ours mostly built, but we're waiting on the petri dish and release agent... but we'll be moving full speed ahead with it as soon as we can. We want MatterControl to work with it as soon as possible.

I finally got some free times and the projector ordered. It should be here soon. In the mean time I'll be printing the legs for it, attempting to find a dish and Makerjuice from somewhere that will ship to Canada, and getting this firmware to stop being a PITA.

How is everyone else's coming along?

I had no problems with the firmware. But I also got sidetracked by my end of year manufacturing season my flyfishing business. I'm still digging out. I have everything sitting here ready to do, even the petri dish is coated. Software installed, machine calibrated, liters of resin.
