Question....... Why does the printer rise several revolutions per layer only to then lower again? I would thing you would want to limit the amount of Z-axis re-travel to avoid error stacking. Also how does the print time compare to that of a Max version?

Wow... That operation you guys have going there is a hell of a lot bigger than I thought it was. I figured a lot of your guys' stuff was outsourced. I wish I worked in a place with all that cool stuff.

Christian79: The build platform raises up to "un-stick" the newly cured layer from the bottom of the vat and then lowers it again in preparation for the next layer.

Tinyhead: They do all their own injection mold design, run those designs on their own CNC machines and then injection mold them on their own injection molding machines. The only parts they don't make in-house is the electronics, the nuts & bolts and the melamine sheet stock. :)

And the stuff they don't do in house, electronics especially, are done by great people at other awesome small businesses. If you ever get to meet Jonny, Britt, Shane or any of the folks from UltiMachine and hear their company story, you'll love 'em too.
