E0 steps per mm. (or E1, if you have it wired that way) I don't know what the proper value should be.
You could probably also do some speed and acceleration tweaks.

Can someone identify what screws are to be used here? None of the ones remaining in my kit seem to work.

You should have 1 2" #6-32 and 1 1.75" #6-32 pan head screw. Use those and two #6-32 nylon lock nuts.
