This https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1614045 will allow you to mount that 7" LCD to the base of your v2. There's no real reason to move the Duet up top since you can do the display install in the bottom.
Here's an adapter to fit the Duet inside the v2 base: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2927723

Re: V2 (mid 2016) to V3.2 (current) upgrade?
Thanks gene, I have printed both of those and have all the parts for the project. Printed Solid sent the Duet and the 7” pd and the0.9deg ldo steppers, they came late this Friday afternoon and the 3 to 3.2 kit from SMC arrived Friday morning so with where I live in Maine forecast to have 18” to 24” of snow this weekend I have reason to stay inside and get this project started.
I have been studying your 3 to 3.2 guide and I guess the smart thing to do is run the extension wiring for the whip for the SE300 down to the base in a length of 3/4” conduit I also need to study the Duet picture and locate where to plug in the led lighting ring I would like to transfer from the V2 effector or can I grab that power from the se300 board? I just unpacked it to be sure it arrived ok but I have yet to study it.
Wish me luck and if I hit any snags I will be back in this thread looking for help. I noted your warning about the plastic springs on the arms gettin brittle with age I guess if I do break any can I print replacements? I have a pound of Tauman 918 nylon that I could use for them in an emergency. I have not had the arms off since I built it Christmas 2015 so I will be gentle in the disassembly.

The springs are cheap, I wouldn't worry about them as SeeMeCNC can bury you in replacements.
If you don't want to fight the wiring down the inside of one of the towers, you can always run them on the outside using a dowel as a "trellis" like I did with Orange Menace.

Re: V2 (mid 2016) to V3.2 (current) upgrade?
Do I just crank the voltage adjust all the way counter clockwise to the stop to max or is there a target voltage I should shift it to?
Re: V2 (mid 2016) to V3.2 (current) upgrade?
I wouldn't set it to lower than 12v.

Re: V2 (mid 2016) to V3.2 (current) upgrade?
just testing my just arrived Duet and at step 5 to set up wifi
Mac OSX Users: Open Applications > Utilities > Terminal .
Run ls /dev/tty.*
Copy the result that has USB in the name. For example; /dev/tty.usbmodem1411
Run screen /dev/tty.usbmodem1411 115200. Replace "usbmodem1411" with the result you received. You should see a blank screen. Hit enter and you should see OK returned. You are connected successfully.
If you get an error, Sorry, could not find a PTY. unplug the USB, plug it back in and try again.
I do this and get this each time any tips?
Run ls /dev/tty.*
-bash: Run: command not found

Don't type in Run, that's part of the instruction to you. The command to type in starts with 'ls'.
