Your printer seems to be calibrated great and I am enjoying reading this thread.

Quick and simple demo of full body animation using a wireless x-y pendant. Lots of changes and stuff to share. I’ll refilm it later on this week when I have the next set of changes complete (with less noise and a clean desk)
rviz running in background displaying robot state. The basic animation is there, still have a fair bit of tuning to get it right.
This is the basic demo that I’m planning to run for SoCal Makercon this year.
Gael’s latest version of the eyes and eye mechanism look fantastic, so I’m printing out those parts this week to upgrade the eyes, and I’ll be also looking at Matt’s eyelid mod.

(Sorry guys, can't seem to embed youtube clips. forum doesn't recognise the https:// link, and using http:// doesn't seem to work either.)

That's a super impressive project. I am most envious.

If painted flat black with red pinstriping, that thing would be pure nightmare fuel. Excellent job!

Re: It's time for some upgrades... [InMoov]
Finished my CNC project now time for another. Inmoov looks like the perfect long term project. There seems to be many different locations of STL files and my question is: Is there a single one spot with the most updated files? for example, I see the new neck is far different then the original but where to find the current one? Thingiverse is filled with different versions and the Inmoov site, http://inmoov.fr/, only has the originals.
Any point in the right direction would be appreciated.

Hey Joe,
You're going to love it. It's labor of love, but the project is really alot of fun.
The best plan of attack is to first grab the stl files from inmoov.fr. Make sure you get the individual files and not the zip file, as sometimes the zip files aren't updated as often.
I'm not aware of any worthwhile modifications to the hand/forearm or the head, so if you wanted to start there I'd go with whatever is posted at inmoov.fr
There's a wide assortment of modified files available in thingiverse, some are worthwhile and some aren't, or aren't up to date compared to the official latest version. I'd take a few minutes to peruse the search results for "inmoov" and bookmark anything that catches your eye or looks like fun.
When you get to them, In my opinion, the modified files you'd be most interested in are on my thingiverse page.
These would replace the original files:
http://www.thingiverse.com/gestalt73/designs
- the inmoov jawhingev1 mod
- the articulating neck mod
- the strong shoulder mod
- the strong bicep mod
- the kinect 2.0 mod

Re: It's time for some upgrades... [InMoov]
Thanks for the advise! Did you use the Nervo board ? It seems a good idea. http://inmoov.fr/product/nervo-board-components/
You have been busy with a few of you own mods. Very nice, I like the neck especially. Would care to share any of the cad files?

Did you use the nervo board? Or have you used E_Z robot?joe wrote: Did you use the Nervo board ? It seems a good idea. http://inmoov.fr/product/nervo-board-components/

Hey there!
I ended up going with a completely custom solution for the controller boards and software.
If you're just getting started in robotics, I'd recommend sticking with the stock recommendations of nervo boards + MyRobotLab. It's a great introduction to robotics, and is the best supported configuration.
I ended up designing custom carrier boards for the 32bit Teensy 3.1, and integrating ROS (RobotOperatingSystem) instead of MyRobotLab.
It's quite a bit of work, but also alot of fun. There's a fairly large community of other builders that share ideas through the inmoov google group and the inmoov.fr website.

Thanks again for the info, I have ordered the nervo board and have been studying MyRobotlab. Lots to learn! - thanks for the PM.
