Snow-White ABS?

Post by Renha »

Hello. I've tried to find snow-white ABS, but best I've found was between white and natural color.

Another issue is that I am living in Russia, and with all that rouble falling and postage prices I couldn't order filament just to see what color is it in real.

Anyone have seen somewhere ABS as white as white PLA?

I've tried Filaments.directory, but:

1) all All Professional 3D white filaments (ABS, PLA, ...) are marked as perfect white - suspicious
2) photos of All Professional 3D Miracle ABS white shows not so white.

I use the white ABS from doodaddoes.com.au, I believe it's extruded by a Melbourne company.

It's pretty white.

Dunno how it compares to anything else though. Perhaps you could as Isaac for a sample?

Ultimachines white ABS is white, but it's not cheap by any stretch.
For some reason white is a color I don't like ABS in.

Biggest problem I have with white prints is that because of their porous and textured finish (fairly unavoidable result of printing) they get real dirty real fast and they are impossible to get clean.

I don't like it, because It always looks very unnatural to me, like it's been bleached, and the surface tends to have a matt appearance.
The only reason I know Ultimachines White ABS is white is because I ordered it accidentally when what I wanted was their natural.
I did print the TRex Skull in it and it does look good for that print.
