Slow printing with MC

Post by JustAGuy »

Hey all.

Just got my Max V2 assembled and printing.
I have a folgertech i3 that I've been working with for a few months so I'm pretty familiar with Repetier host. However,
Matter control is pretty new to me.

The issue I'm running into is that my prints are taking a very long time. For example, right now, I'm printing the 5mm cube pyramid
that normally takes about 12 minutes in repetier on my folger but is taking 47 minutes with this printer/software. I've increased
all the printing speeds to 75mm/sec and reset my layer height to .3mm. Just these changes alone should have drastically reduced
my print time over the other printer but instead it increased.

Looking at the print in progress right now, I can sure tell you that it's not printing anywhere near 75mm/sec. What am I missing?

Thanks
Sam

Check your minimum layer time, it's probably just set much larger than in the other slicing software.
It's the dominant factor for any small print.
