Upgraded to Duet, now what should I use for bed probing?

Post by Sonitrolio »

I just got a duet wifi and am in the process of installing it. My question now is where should I go from here. Which of the probe methods is most reliable for someone that never changes their glass bed out. Should I look at a BLTouch, FSR setup, or Smart Effector. I already have the ballcup arms and have replaced my hotend with a E3DV6 and also have the upgraded meanwell power supply. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations?

Since you've got an E3Dv6, I'd go with the Duet Smart Effector.

Got the smart effector and hooked it all up. I am wrangling gcode and whatnot now. This thing is a whole different animal. Let the learning begin....again.

Yeah, but it's very much worth it. :)
