Bowden tube too long?

Post by benjaminhill »

Was hesitant to chop the ends off, not sure if it would help much (any?) to make it just the right length and get rid of the extra twist amount. Did you trim your tube?

I'm very new to this, but that doesn't look too long. Keep in mind you have that in the center of the bed.

Gently move it out to the extreme end similar to printing a large print and I think you'll see the slack come out of the tube.

The tube is as long as it's supposed to be. They don't pick random lengths. :)

One beauty of having built the machine yourself, and of tubing being cheap, is you could order another section of tube and try various lengths without even sacrificing the stock tube section.
