Hello everybody,
I didn't find anything about it and maybe I am just don't seeing the point...
I was wondering which version of the E3D V6 is the best for the Rostock MAX V2?
Does anybody know where I can get in Germany a threaded Thermistor?
The only place I found are some people in the US. But that would take weeks again.

Are you just asking about the v6 versus the v6 lite?
If you wind up getting either one, you won't need a threaded thermistor.

So you say the prometheus is better than the E3D V6?
There is the V6 universal, direct, bowden, 1.75 and 3.00 etc.
I want to print big parts. I read the volvano is also a good choice for that.
The threaded thermistor is for the stock hotend.
I know that I don't need one for the V6.

I have a V6... I switched back to my stock hotend... I print ABS and it works really well for for it. I use the resistors and the glue in thermistor also. IF you are printing other materials you do need an all metal hotend, as the PEEK section wont handle temps above 250.
I think the best reason for using the Prometheus is that Brian from Tricklaser is sells them, he has been around the 3D world a long time, and knows a good hotend when he sees one. also I think the machining is better. my V6 needed a bit of work when I got it.
eventually I will be printing nylon and will need a hi temp hot end, it will be a Prometheus.

As I understand it, the beauty of the Prmotheus is the single piece nozzle/heat break. I have heard the seam between the heat break and the nozzle on the E3d will sometimes catch the filament and cause issues. The "fix" has been to finish machine then polish the heat break/nozzle after assembly to remove any possible ridge.

You'll want the bowden 1.75mm setup. I just bought the full eruption pack with an E3d plus a .4mm nozzle(volcano) to put on my new printer, I think it'll do well.
I prefer the threaded thermistor like you're talking about, more robust than smashing the sheathed leads into the heater block.

the prometheus looks great. but I can only get it in the US. will take sone time again.
you guys from seemecnc should think about a modular kit. where the buyer can choose which hotend etc he wants in his. that would be great.

I have not tried it yet but am looking forward to it. My new delta can run lots faster so it will be interesting to see
