A few weeks back I was contacted by a gentleman that had heard about GHS students 3D printing. He told me that he had a part from one of his light fixtures break but was not able to find replacement pieces since the light was vintage. This was a perfect real life scenario for the students, who were able to model and print 12 replacement clips so he never runs out. I estimate that it was less than $1 in material for all of the clips and even told this to the man. We wound up with a $50 donation to purchase more filament!
We now have another satisfied community member, pleased with the education opportunities we are providing students with

It's great that your students could fulfill a need and actually made a handsome profit.
I'm sure that teaches them the value that 3D printing has and what the future could be.
