help me

Post by ector »

I recently finished building the rostock 3d printer and I have began to calibrate it. I have ran into a problem because when it moves parallel to the build platform in both the x and y axis, it dips up and down in a bowl shape. I don't know how to fix the problem. The nozzle is at the perfect height in the center and is too high in all the corners. Please Help!

Complete the calibration process. Horizontal Radius Settings Specifically.

Step 1. Go back and print the first little thing (the one that printed correctly). If it prints correctly again, then you will know the problem is with the other model file or settings when it was sliced. If you can no longer print the first thing correctly, you'll know something about the printer has been changed.

Yup. Did that. Then, downloaded a file to print from seemecnc site. Same thing.
SO.... I did a thorough virus check, and sure enough there was one. Also, I noticed that there were two printers (both the same only one was named and the other was not) on MatterControl. I deleted ALL files from Repitier...thoroughly, again. manually deleted anything on 'puter I could find. And reinstalled, re-calibrated, everything. Works fine now for first print. Just now checking to see what happens when I download that same larger file.

Thanx!

How do you print from an SD card? I've loaded the SD card with the file...cannot figure out what to do next.
Thank you in advance.

Slice model in MC.
Save gcode on computer.
Stick SD card in computer and copy gcode to SD card.
Move SD card to printer.
If printer was on when SD card was inserted, will automatically open file selection directory.
Otherwise go to Select File...

It is also possible to export gcode from MC to SD card while SD card is in the printer, but file transmission to RAMBo over the USB link is slow. Much quicker to swap card back and forth. Also, allows you to leave USB cable from printer disconnected, which you want to do while printing - prevents printer from rebooting mid-print if computer re-initializes USB port.

On that very large (covers most build of plate diameter) object, make sure your non-printing "travel" movement speed is not more than about 150mm/s.

Okay...so I did all and NOZ and Bed are heating up.
All good?

Can I disconnect 'puter now, or too late?

Thanx!

Should ok to unplug = but do not plug in again until print is finished. The USB enumeration that takes place upon connection would cause the RAMBo to reset, killing the print.
