My first true failure

I had my first true failure last night. I've had parts break free before but this is somehow different.

I stopped the print soon after hearing the sound of the hotend Hitting something.

I'm figuring it was either Hotend issue (temp was at a steady 228°c), Extruder issue, Filament Binding on the roll, or the fact the I didn't design enough of a wall.
