I love my Orion but!

Post by Tinker12 »

Just came across this delta printer made in europe
has linear slides bearings, magnetic ball joints and auto leveling, all metal frame!
It is a bit on the pricy side compared to Rostock MaX V2 an Orion though, but it seems to have a great feature set.
What do you think?

interesting, it is a kit and uses some similar construction techniques for structure as orion and rostock.

The trick to building a delta is doing everything well. The trick to selling a delta is in the supply chain management, that is all. A design means crap if you can't send out 100 of the same kit reliably, and have most of them work.

People get so impressed by feature lists and build volumes, I am impressed only when those lists are backed up by a solid reputation with the exact machine.

Definitely can't do flexible filament. http://instagram.com/p/xyodpwHUmU/?modal=true" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's pretty, and I definitely like the metal carriage ( http://instagram.com/p/wwxTWeHUhq/?modal=true" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) but I kind of agree with David. It doesn't really wow me.
