Hi everyone,
I was curious if you wouldn't mind sharing the print speeds you generally use on your Orion printer. I have it set relatively slow to get acceptable prints and I was wondering if it was in par with others.
Thanks!

Very interesting. Good to see where I might be able to speed it up. Thanks.

Tincho95's settings look good.LAFilament wrote:Very interesting. Good to see where I might be able to speed it up. Thanks.
Each type of filament can be printed at different speeds.
The only way is to experiment with the speeds of different filaments and keep
excellent notes. Red Pla from SeemeCNC prints at this speed (as an example)
This can be very time consuming but is the best way.

Re: Print speeds?
I was finally able to speed up prints. I didn't realize the current values in the firmware were too low (135 - suggested is 200). I bumped it up to 175 and got good results.

Will be a good idea to check the temperatures of your motors if your running your running your axis motors @175.
A reflash of your Rambo will base software can have incorrect power settings as there are a couple of different motors types..
Discussion here about others settings on the Orion with Kysan motors.

Re: Print speeds?
Thanks for the heads up. That was the thread that got me where I'm at.
I didn't want to detract from that thread and it took me way too long to put two and two together. The printer currently has wantai steppers, so I am running it well below the suggested 200. The 135 it was at seemed below any of the suggested values for any of the brands steppers.
